I like it when a digital system does something useful in the real world.
That can mean a sensor measurement, an easier workflow or a tool that makes a difficult task understandable. My natural starting point is understanding the whole system, followed by experimenting with, building and documenting its parts.
Background
I hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Tampere University. My master’s studies are ongoing: coursework is complete, and the thesis is in progress. My studies focus on signal processing and machine learning.
I have worked at Tampere University as a research assistant on imitation learning for robotics, and in teaching roles on computer vision and programming courses. My own projects apply these skills to measurement systems, 3D geometry and image workflows.
